Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 June 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Compresh Ltd (“Compresh”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England & Wales (no. 17134534), Unit 501 Leroy House, 434–436 Essex Road, London, N1 3FY, UK.
They govern your use of the compre.sh website and the Compresh service — a context-compression and episodic-memory layer for LLM APIs offered as a hosted proxy, an MCP server, and hooks (the “Service”). Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation, and “you” includes it.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate, complete information and keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain inaccurate information or that breach these Terms.
3. The Service
Compresh sits between your application and your LLM provider and compresses your conversation so fewer input tokens are sent, while preserving meaning. You may use it as a drop-in proxy, a locally run MCP server, or a hook. The Service is under active development; features may change, and parts may be offered as beta.
4. Your provider keys and your LLM bill (BYOK)
The Service is bring-your-own-key. You are responsible for:
- Your own LLM provider account, provider API keys, and the bill you incur with that provider — Compresh does not pay your provider charges.
- Complying with your chosen provider’s terms (e.g. OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, OpenRouter). Your requests are fulfilled by the provider you select, which acts independently and under its own terms.
We store any provider key you give us encrypted and use it only to forward your requests to the provider you chose.
5. Your content
You retain all rights to the conversation content and other materials you send through the Service (“Content”). You grant us a limited licence to process your Content solely to provide the Service (i.e. to compress and forward your requests). We do not use your Content to train any model, and we do not sell it. See the Privacy Policy for how Content is handled and retained.
You are responsible for your Content, including that you have the right to send it and that it does not infringe others’ rights or break any law.
6. Fees and billing
- Savings-share model. You pay a share of the input tokens the Service eliminates — there is no fee where there are no savings. Current rates, free credit, and any deposit requirements are shown on the pricing page; the pricing page forms part of these Terms and may be updated.
- Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store card details. By providing payment information you authorise the applicable charges.
- Fee changes take effect prospectively; we will give reasonable notice of material changes, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
- Except where required by law (including any non-excludable statutory consumer rights), fees and loaded budget are non-refundable.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service only lawfully and not to:
- break any applicable law, or infringe anyone’s rights;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure (including DoS attacks, scraping, or probing);
- attempt to circumvent or defeat the Service’s security or prompt-injection protections;
- resell, sublicense, or provide the hosted Service to third parties as your own;
- use the Service to violate your LLM provider’s terms; or
- use the Service to harm minors or transmit unlawful, malicious, or harmful material.
We may suspend access to protect the Service, other users, or our infrastructure.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, including the Compresh compression algorithm (patent application filed), the Compresh name and marks, the website, and documentation, is owned by Compresh Ltd and its licensors. These Terms grant you no rights in them except the limited right to use the Service.
Open-source components we publish (e.g. tulbase and related packages) are licensed under their own open-source licences, which govern your use of those components; these Terms govern the hosted Service.
Feedback. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us an unrestricted, royalty-free right to use them without obligation to you.
9. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third parties (LLM providers, Stripe, Cloudflare, and others). We are not responsible for their content, availability, outputs, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their terms.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that compression will never affect a model’s output. We are not responsible for outputs produced by your LLM provider. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Compresh will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) £100. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Compresh harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
13. Term and termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for breach of these Terms, suspected abuse or fraud, or to comply with law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including IP, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) survive.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms by posting the revised version with a new date and, for material changes affecting registered users, notifying you by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
16. General
Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. If a provision is held invalid, the rest remain in effect. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor.
